This guide carrd was started in January of 2021. It is completely managed/run by me (eric) and seeks to be a more detailed alternative to getting to know ONF compared to Kprofiles and guide videos. The music, stages, and content tabs are also an attempt to make a centre for people looking for content to watch!

As it is just one guy running this carrd, do forgive me for any late updates of information or potentially wrong/outdated information! This is just to get people into ONF and maybe a fun little thing for already existing fuses to look at, do not end your fuse journey here!! ABOUT ONF

ONF (Hangul: 온앤오프; short for On N Off), also known as On and Off, is a South Korean boy group under WM Entertainment. (Other artists under WM include B1A4, Oh My Girl, and Lee Chaeyeon.) WM was merged with RBW in 2021, making ONF part of the 'RBW Family' as well.The lineup was known as WM BOYS before the official name announcement.ONF made their debut with "ON/OFF" on the 2nd of August in 2017, making them a 3rd generation group.

All 7 members of the initial lineup participated in the survival show Mixnine, with Hyojin and Laun making it into the later scrapped final group. ONF also competed in Road To Kingdom (2020) and finished 2nd. They have also released a webdrama called Can I Step In (2020-2021).ONF got their first music show win with Beautiful Beautiful on March 2 2021.

The 5 Korean members of ONF (Hyojin, Seungjun, Wyatt, Etion, Minkyun) enlisted in December of 2021, making them the first group to enlist together.Due to enlistment, ONF was on hiatus for a year and a half from 2021 to 2023. During this hiatus, a pre-prepared album STORAGE OF ONF was released and member Hyojin released a solo (also recorded before hiatus).ONF have since completed their enlistment in late June of 2023.

On January 1, 2024, WM Entertainment announced that the members formerly known by the stage names J-Us and MK will henceforth promote using their legal names Seungjun and Minkyun respectively. (Some un-updated parts of this guide still have their outdated stage names, sorry.)Previous member Laun (Kim Minseok) left the group for unspecified personal reasons in late 2019 and has expressed he no longer wishes to be in the entertainment industry. He has gone mostly off the grid and has no active social medias currently.

FANDOM

ONF announced their fandom name as "Fuse" on 8 June, 2018.Their lightstick came out on Apr 17 2021.They do not have official colours or fandom colours yet.

HYOJIN

Hyojin is the main vocalist of ONF and leader of the vocals-focused ON team. He is the only member with a solo track so far with 'Love Things' being released during his enlistment.Hyojin was 2nd place on MIXNINE and was a part of the debut group before the project was cancelled by fuckass YG. Hyojin has been friends with OFF team leader Seungjun's for over 13 years and once got in the news for picking Seungjun's teeth for him as a "shocking display of friendship".Hyojin's motifs in fan culture generally include deers, otters, his abundance of moles, his front teeth, and his english name 'brandon' which is often jokingly used.

Hyojin's stage name 'Hyojin' comes from his given name, which is Hyojin.

Etion is a lead vocalist and is part of the ON team. He is sometimes referred to as the 'third leader', jokingly called the 'fashion leader' because of his interest in fashion and design. He has designed some of the group's official merchandise such as shirts.Changyun is part of the 'gag duo' in ONF with MK, and is sometimes dubbed 'changdol', a wordplay on his clumsiness.Etion's motifs in fan culture generally include hamsters, sharks, his butt, and his eyebrows, which are often the focal point of fanart. If you ever have trouble recognising ONF in fanart, rest assured that etion will always be recognisable through being drawn with thick eyebrows.

E-TION is short for Lee Changyun Sensation.

Minkyun is a lead vocalist and is part of the ON team. He has a mood-maker role in ONF and is noted for his distinct and unique 'lemony' voice tone. He is generally the source of noise in ONF and also yells/shouts/screams a lot. Like a lot this guy does not shut upMinkyun plays the guitar and is often involved in songwriting for ONF's tracks. He is also known for his participation in the survival show 'No Mercy' when he was a Starship trainee in 2015, and was a prospective member of MONSTA X through the show. He got eliminated from the show and proceeded to debut with ONF.Minkyun's motifs in fan culture generally include cats, lemons, and citrus. While fans have heated debates over what animals ONF members are, it is unanimously agreed that Minkyun is a cat, particularly a black one that is sometimes portrayed with a leaf on its head.

STAGE NAME

From debut until the start of 2024, Minkyun previously went by the stage name MK, which he no longer uses.MK stood for Mr Knuckles, who is Minkyun's favourite sonic character.Just kidding, it means Min Karat.

Seungjun is a lead dancer and is the leader of the performance/dance based OFF team. He is also described as the 'spark leader'. He is known for being the guy in that hype boy military video alongside Etion who is also in the video.Seungjun is sometimes called 'juice', 'jayers', and other variants on his stage name by english-speaking fans. Seungjun has been friends with ON team leader Hyojin for over 13 years and once got in the news for letting Hyojin pick his teeth for him as a shocking display of friendship.He claims to be 5'9 but is actually 5'7.Seungjun's motifs in fan culture generally include being portrayed as a white maltese dog, and associations with electricity-related objects like lightning and batteries.Whether his name is romanised "seungjun" or "seungjoon" used to be highly contentious among fuses, and the popular spelling was seungjoon until some time in 2021 when 'seungjun' became the more common and accepted spelling.

From debut to the start of 2024, Seungjun previously wen by the stage name J-Us, which he no longer uses.J-US stood for "SeungJun and ONF together". (assumedly, 'us' means him and the other members)

Wyatt is a lead dancer and the main rapper of ONF. He had the longest training period in the group (7 years).He is fluent in English and is often the one who represents ONF in english-speaking. Wyatt also commonly shows krump dance as a specialty.Wyatt's motifs in fan culture include being portrayed as a gorilla.

STAGE NAME

WYATT was chosen for its meaning in old english as 'brave', in order to 'give off a brave impression'.

U is a lead rapper and main dancer of ONF.Yuto was the only member to not go on enlistment hiatus from late 2021- early 2023 as the only non-korean member of the group and was the only active member during this time.Yuto was a previous trainee under JYP, and is friends with TWICE's Sana and PENTAGON's Yuto. When with Pentagon's Yuto, people commonly differentiate them by calling U 'small yuto' and Pentagon Yuto 'big yuto'.Yuto was a DJ for the radio show 'Night Flight' on KBS Cool FM Station Z. He also participated in the show 'B Mbitious' (prequel to Street Man Fighter) but was eliminated.Yuto's motifs in fan culture include being portrayed as a squirrel and associated with bread.

This is their first public appearance as a group.July 25 2017 Group name reveal.August 2 2017 ONF's debut mini album ON/OFF is released with a title track of the same name. They have their debut stage on MCOUNTDOWN. ON/OFF goes on to peak at 9th on the Gaon Album Chart.October 28 2017 Hyojin revealed as the center for the theme of MIXNINE (Just Dance) along future ITZY member Ryujin.October 29 2017 ONF appear in the first episode of MIXNINE.December 31 2017 Changyoon is eliminated in the 10th ep of mixnine.

2018

January 21 2018 Minkyun and Yuto are eliminated in the 13th ep of mixnine.January 26 2018 Seungjun and Jaeyoung are eliminated in the last episode of mixnine while Hyojin and Minseok make it into the final debut group, with Hyojin placing 2nd and Minseok placing 7th in the boys team.May 3 2018 YG Entertainment revealed that the debut for the male winning group including Hyojin and Minseok is cancelled. We Must Love goes on to peak at 5th on the Gaon Album Chart.February 11 2019 ONF's We Must Love Asia Tour is announced set for Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taipei (The Singapore stop was later cancelled).March 29 2019 ONF has their first tour stop in Hong Kong.April 27 2019 ONF has their second and last tour stop in Taipei.July 05 2019 Minseok makes his acting debut as a support character in webdrama Chubby Romance 2 (also known as When You Love Yourself).July 14 2019 ONF release OST 'So Pretty' for Chubby Romance 2.August 23 2019 WM announces Minseok's departure from the group.October 7 2019 ONF's Fourth mini album Go Live is released with title track Why. March 20 2020 MNET announces ONF's participation in Road To Kingdom along with groups Pentagon, Golden Child, The Boyz, Verivery, Oneus, and TO1 (previously known as TOO)June 12 2020 ONF releases single New World as part of Road To Kingdom. It is their first song to get on Gaon Digital Chart (112) and Billboard's Kpop Hot 100 (97).June 18 2020 ONF finishes 2nd in Road To Kingdom.August 10 2020 ONF's fifth mini album Spin Off is released with the title track Sukhumvit Swimming. It goes on to peak at 3th on Gaon Album Chart. Sukhumvit Swimming is their first title track to chart on Gaon Music Chart (102) and Billboard's Kpop Hot 100 (91).December 23 2020 ONF stars in the web drama 'Can I Step In'.

2021

January 28 2021 Hyojin releases the OST 'Before Today Is Over' for the drama 'True Beauty'. It ranked #9 on Bugs OST Daily Chart.February 24 2021 ONF releases their 1st full album, ONF: My Name with title track Beautiful Beautiful. Byubyu goes on to achieve a 'roof hit' at #1 on the Genie graph, reached #1 on iTunes US Top 100 kpop songs for two consecutive days, debuted at #1 on Bugs, and was ONF's first song to re-enter melon charts.March 2 2021 ONF gets their first music show win on The Show <3April 28 2021 ONF releases repackage of My Name, City of ONF with the title track Ugly Dance.
